Yesterday I was shown yet again just how quickly the years are going by. It was a big day in our household as B1 and B2 turned two and Mummy (AKA me) turned thirty two.
Wrapping paper was thrown everywhere and squeals of delight filled the air as gifts were opened.
Poor daddy still had to go to work, although we managed to squeeze in a few presents before he left in the morning and a few later in the evening after dinner.
Family came over in the afternoon for more exchanging of presents and a delicious cake that I am sure was designed just for me, made by my wonderful sister… A cake made completely from fruit!
B1 and B2 had a ball playing with their new toys.
I had to wait a little longer for mine. After bath time I was told I had to come out on the balcony. There was more squeals of delight, this time from me!
I went for a quick ride around out the back after B1 and B2 were in bed.
I can’t wait to start riding. Coming additions are a basket on the front and a child seat on the back.
A fantastic day all in all.
Now to continue my preparations for B1 and B2′s ‘rainbow themed’ party next weekend. Lists have been made and crossed off, items bought and tasks delegated to some wonderful family members and close friends. My biggest worry; hoping the cake turns out!
